Pets!

Hello everybody!

Today I am going to write about pets. Personally, I never have had a pet because my mother doesn’t like animals and she never has allowed me to have one. I like animals but not all animals. Since I was a child I always have wanted to have a dog, especially, a labrador. I think that a pet could be a great friend for everyone and it really can brighten up your life. Having a pet can be a great help to someone who is alone, pets even have been very useful to treat different diseases in occupational therapy. For these reasons I believe that is good that children can take care of a pet, it could be very beneficial to them. Currently, my younger brother has two rats as pets and I have could see that he has a relation with this animals, he always is worried about them, he feed them, he regularly is going to see them, and so on. I think that he has learnt a little responsibility and he has found a good way to spend the time with the rats.

Faculty Facilities

I think that the current situation in my faculty in relation with the facilities is regular, because there are a lot of problems due to the lack of resources to improve it.

The most positive aspects are the green areas which allow to the students have a good time; the sport facilities, which are good because there are several soccer fields where the students can practice different sports and a gym with some machines but not enough for all students. These points are good, but they are far to be excellent, still there are many deficiencies.

Some of the most negative points are: the library and computer rooms. The library is one of bad points because it is very small and a very noisy place, you can’t study there and it always is full of people. The computer rooms are insufficient for all students and the same as with the library they always are full. If you ask me these two things are the most necessary to improve, because they affect to everyone every day.

But, how we can solve these problems? I think that the authorities have the solution because the faculty only needs more economic resources, in order to improve the deficiencies. The problem is the inequity between the economic resources delivered to each faculty. The faculties like medicine and engineering receives the most of the resources and the faculties related with humanistic and social careers are the most injured. One way to solve the problem is define the priorities in relation with the faculty facilities that urgently we need to improve and allocate a part of the economic resources that the faculty receives to these points.

Friends!

Hi! Today I am going to talk about friends J I think that friends are one of the most important things in the life, but only the real and unconditional friends.

My closest friend is my boyfriend, he is a person very similar to me, we have many things in common and we enjoy doing the same things. He is a very nice, intelligent, loyal and tender person. I met him thanks to a theatre course that we both did the last year, we shared a few days and then we began to be the best friend each other… From that moment on we have been one year and two months together. He has the most important characteristics that I value in a friend, like the loyalty, the cheerfulness and the sincerity. He is someone that gives everything for the people that he loves and he first thinks about the welfare of the others and then in himself. For these reason I think that he is my best friend. In general, these are the things that I appreciate in a friend.

My closest friends, including to my boyfriend, are four. Two of them have been my friends since the High School and regularly we keep in touch. The others friends are my boyfriend and a friend that I knew when I entered to the University.

If you ask me, I can say that I am a good friend, however, I am very selective in relation to the people that I let enter to my life. I prefer to have a few but good friends, because I need to know very well to them and I think that to a good friendship lasts for years.

Finally, I think that with the pass of the time your boyfriend or girlfriend become your best friend, because she or he is the person that will share with you the rest of your life.

Transantiago System

My experience with Transantiago has been good because I live near the University and the buses pass each 5 minutes approximately. Also, I can take four different buses to come at the University or to go to some place. Mainly, for these three reasons I don’t have had problem with this new system. However, I think that I have had lucky because the most of the people have had many problems in relation with the frequency of the buses. This is the worst aspect of Transantiago, many people have to wait for hours the buses. The positive things of the new system are the quality of the buses, which ones are bigger and cleaner than the previous, the seats are more comfortable, and the drivers have more safety and the buses contaminate less than the buses of pre-Transantiago system. A few times I could use the previous system because I didn’t live here yet, however, my short experience was really bad. I remember that the buses run very fast by the streets, the drivers were very unpleasant, the people paid the bus with cash and the buses were ugly and uncomfortable. The only change I would apply to the new system is improving the frequency of the buses. If you ask me Transantiago is a good system, it only requires improve some aspects.

The music is one of the funniest things in the world to me. I really love it! Since I was a child I have been in relation with the music, because my father loves the music and he always has played different musical instruments and has listened different kind of music. For these reason, since I had 3 years I sang the songs of Ana Gabriel and Gloria Trevi. The next years I continue been in relation with the music, because my father taught me to play guitar and piano. The main influence in my music tastes was my father. Actually, I love many kind of music, especially, the rock. My favorite bands are U2, Coldplay and Soda Stereo. The past year I could go at the concert of Soda Stereo. I went with a friend and her boyfriend. The concert was in the National Stadium and it lasted 2 hours. It was really funny! I will always remember that day. I really like these three bands, however, I listen other styles of music like pop music, romantic music, salsa music, and classical music. Some singers that I like are Ricardo Arjona, Alejandro Sanz, Juan Luis Guerra, Cerati and other. Other bands that I listen are Cafetacuba, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Maná, Los Bunkers and other. Behind of these singers and bands, I usually like songs of unknown singers. There are many songs of unknown singers that I listened in a special moment and for this reason I like them. I think that the music depends of the moment when you listen it, every kind of music can be genial in different moments.

A country I would like to visit

A country I would like to visit
I would like to go to many different places, especially, I would like to visit different countries in Europe. My favorite countries to go are Italy, England, France, Greece, Egypt and India. I have never traveled to these places but I would like to visit them because they are beautiful countries, with rich cultures, with many touristic places, with another kind of people, with many different traditions and life styles. If you ask me, the most interesting place to visit is Greece, because I have read very much about its history and it has been one of the greatest countries in the universal history. The Greek developed science, politics, art, philosophy and other important aspects of our civilization. For these reasons I would like to visit Greece, the only problem is that this country is very expensive and I need to save a lot of money to go there. In the academic aspect, I would like to go to U.S.A to study a specialization into the Experimental Psychology, but again, I need to save too much money and to work for many years in my career before doing so. It would be perfect if my boyfriend could go with me and if I had plenty of money I would travel to every country in the world.

First Term...

Hello!

My experience during the first term of 2009 was good. In general, I can say that I learnt very much during the first term, however, sometimes it was hard. There were many positive things. In relation to the academic aspect, I learnt very much with every subject and my academic results were good. Personally, I can say that I grew up very much due to the academic load, because I took up an extra subject which was very difficult and it really was a challenge to me. It was hard because sometimes I didn’t have time for anything and this extra subject demanded two hours daily to me, which I could have used to do many other things. The only negative point was the academic load, even due to the extra subject I had only one week of vacation. In the free time I participated in a theater workshop which was very funny, also, I did sport and I enjoyed doing several activities with my boyfriend and my family. The challenges I had to face were mainly the pressure of the University and the distance with my family, however, I could face very well both challenges, it especially thanks to my boyfriend. In general, my experience during the first term was good and the negative points were useful and made me a better person.
